Typing Lesson 2: The Home Row (Left Hand)
The home row is your base position when typing. For the left hand, place your index finger on f, middle finger on d, ring finger on s, pinky on a, and note that the g key is typed with the index finger as well. Rest your thumb comfortably on the spacebar.

Keep your fingers curved and raised above the keyboard, pointing directly at the keys. This position lets you move your fingers easily without moving your whole hand. Focus on building good habits early.
